open address

Working with print and performance, open address attended to the work of the edit: the phenomenological process of change, the porousness of narrative subjectivity, the work of the work of trauma. Moving through genealogies of Language Poetry as it abuts and abrades Asian American civil rights movements, intergenerational migration narratives, and queer temporalities, through the mouth of the reader. At its most optimistic, open address was a manuscript that continues; as such, it is source text for editing, an open system, a corroboration of the time and duration with which it is written.
