FORTUNE

In 2018, FORTUNE formed as a Philadelphia-based publication project, and celebrated its first publication launch in the Year of the Earth Pig 2019. It was conceived by Andra Palchick, Heidi Ratanavanich, and Connie Yu, assembled by and for queer and trans Asian publics. Each of 13 monthly issues joined letterpress and risograph printing, featured multiple contributors, and was released through community gatherings of varied scale.

FORTUNE is currently operated and co-edited by Andra and Connie. We continue to think of printing and self-publishing as a practice of learning, gathering, remembering, and making multiple. As such, FORTUNE will always be a public project, tended to collectively.

Many Folds Press

As of 2022, we also operate a small-scale risograph studio, called Many Folds Press. We work to provide accessible and responsive print services, to make room for more queer BIPOC stories, and to celebrate our own — in material forms, in multiples.

Our catalog broadly includes resource guides and functional objects, and are distributed through alternative, slow, or intentional ways. See a selection of past jobs at our Jobs page.
